Regression Indicator & About Order Flow
Hello Mr Avery,
I am trying to spread out my posts throughout your forums as to not make any one post too big with all the vital queries so people can find one or the other with some info.
I wanted to know a bit about the regression indicator and how to best utilize it. Firstly, I wanted to know if it uses COG to show where the price is most likely to return after each bounce. I also see that you use 200 periods for this indicator,......could you explain why this gives the best predictions of the market direction.
I also see that the indicator paints a future path that the market may follow, which its surprisingly doing a lot of the times - but it does paint and widen the channel and sometimes reverse before going back to the same formation as before. Could you explain how the regression indicator is showing the future path and how much painting can we expect if we take trades from major structures ?
Also I wanted to know why the indicator sometimes shows different trends in the different time frames ? For example on the H1 chart I see the regression showing a future downward path that is sharp, but the H4 and D1 chart I see it showing a sharp upward future path. Does this mean that it is best to wait for the H1 regression to alight or paint in the direction of the D1 and H1, and then look for setups ?
Lastly, I wanted to know if you had any indicators or method to show order flow in the market. I realize the common way is to look at major structures, because that is where the major bounces tend to take places meaning most of the market pending orders for banks and institutions rest there, but is there any other way to pin point this. I wanted an extra confirmation to trade in the direction of the market makers that are driving the prices in either direction.
Again, thanks for your support.

HI Sammy.
Always best to post charts so all can see what you see. Hard to answer without seeing a chart.
Plus, I need the EXACT name of the indicator. I think I have more than one regression indicator.
Nothing, on order flow. Some people think volume is the answer. I have written/modified a few volume indicators.

IT'S NOT WHAT YOU TRADE, IT'S HOW YOU TRADE IT!
Please do NOT PM me with trading or coding questions, post them in a thread.
